HOUSTON-BASED SINGER MAHALAKSHMI KRISHNAN RELEASES 'COLORS OF PEACE,' A MUSICAL CALL FOR PEACE, COMPASSION AND UNITY

Mahalakshmi Krishnan's Colors of peace becomes a peace anthem and campaign promoting compassion, unity and peace through music.

HOUSTON, TX, UNITED STATES, October 7, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- New single becomes the anthem for a growing call to compassion, unity and peace - #ColorsOfPeace

Houston-based singer Mahalakshmi Krishnan has released “Colors of Peace,” a heartfelt musical reflection on compassion, humanity and the need for greater understanding in an increasingly divided world.
More than a song, Colors of Peace is also the beginning of a broader Peace Through Music campaign - an effort to use music, visual storytelling and shared messages of compassion to encourage people around the world to reflect on what peace means and how each of us can help create it.

At a time when conflict, suffering and division continue to dominate headlines, Colors of Peace carries a simple message: peace is not merely something to seek around us. It begins within each of us.
Through evocative music and an emotionally resonant performance, Mahalakshmi encourages listeners to look beyond the boundaries that separate people and recognize the shared humanity that connects them.
“Colors of Peace comes from a very personal place,” says Mahalakshmi Krishnan. “We see so much pain and division around us, and sometimes it can feel overwhelming. This song is my small prayer - a reminder that compassion, kindness and peace can begin with each one of us.”

A Peace Anthem - and a Campaign
With #ColorsOfPeace, Mahalakshmi hopes to take the message beyond the recording itself.
The campaign will use music and a series of short visual stories centered on themes such as compassion, kindness, healing, unity and inner peace, inviting listeners to share and amplify a simple idea:
Peace through music. Peace through compassion. Peace from within.
Rather than approaching peace as an abstract ideal, the campaign focuses on the everyday choices that shape how people treat one another - choosing empathy over judgment, kindness over anger and understanding over division.
Colors of Peace (Saravana Bava Nidhi) is rooted in Indian musical tradition and draws from Arunagiri Nathar’s Thiruppugazh, interpreted through a contemporary musical collaboration. The recording features Mahalakshmi Krishnan on vocals, Grammy Award-winning percussionist V. Selvaganesh, guitarist Abhay Nayampally, and producer, composer and vocalist Prassanna.
For Mahalakshmi, music has the ability to cross borders, cultures, languages and beliefs in ways that few other forms of expression can.

And that is the idea behind #ColorsOfPeace: to allow one song to become many individual expressions of peace.
Listen to the song. Share the message. Find peace within.
